Message from Program Leadership

A MESSAGE FROM THE RESIDENCY LEADERSHIP

NYC Health + Hospitals/ Kings County has a long history of providing resident education to generations of physicians, many of whom are currently members of the Pediatric Residency Program leadership and faculty. Our program has been designed to provide residents with a comprehensive educational curriculum with guidance from experienced residency leaders and pediatric faculty who are committed to fostering the growth and success of our residents in a nurturing environment. Our clinical affiliation with NYC Health + Hospitals/ Metropolitan offers our residents additional opportunities to learn and thrive, and there is ample opportunity for residents to engage in scholarly pursuits during their training such as quality improvement projects and clinical research. The pediatric residency leadership is here to help guide each resident on their three-year journey by providing support, feedback, advisement and encouragement. Residents will meet with the program director and associate program directors at least twice per year to discuss their progress and to help create individualized learning plans (ILPs) which address each resident’s goals and professional development as they progress through their training. We are committed to helping each of our trainees achieve their full potential while they are here at Kings County and beyond!!
