We are dedicated to providing your children with the best care possible, from infancy to adolescence. Our staff is sensitive to the needs of both parents and children, whether we are providing the regular care to keep children healthy or necessary treatment for an illness or accident.

Pediatric Outpatient Care

NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County provides outpatient heath care for children and teens up to age 18 on the hospital campus and in community-based Family Health Clinics. These clinics are staffed with pediatricians and nurses who provide primary care, immunizations, patient/family education, social services, asthma awareness and control, newborn support networks, WIC programs, and parental support groups.

Adolescent Inpatient Unit

The Adolescent Inpatient Unit provides complete heath care to all adolescents ages 13 through 20 years. The 15-bed unit was created to address the unique medical, psychological and social needs of young adults as well as to provide an effective way to teach them about preventive heath care.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Many babies born at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County are high-risk. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) combines state-of-the-art technology with kind, sensitive neonatal care.

The NICU is a New York State Children Service approved Level 3 center, dedicated to providing the highest quality care for all newborns. Our neonatologists are board certified with a fully accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program. They work closely with our Pediatric Service Department to ensure the best care for both mother and child.

The Labor and Delivery area has a stabilization room designed for the immediate, specialized care of high-risk newborns. A link connecting Labor and Delivery with the NICU reduces critical time in getting newborns to the NICU and its specialized equipment and physicians.
